Arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After a brief welcoming note by our driver-guide, you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation: Sarova Panafric Hotel or Similar (BB)
Pick up from your hotel and depart for Loita Hills, arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon, descend to Maji Moto village and visit local hot springs to experience remote village life. Dinner and overnight at the Maji Moto Eco Camp (FB).
Depart after breakfast for a 4–6 hour trek — a very adventurous, private, and ultimate bush experience. Accompanied by your Maasai guides, spend the day walking the Loita Hills, one of Kenya’s last remaining true wilderness areas, located south of Nairobi and northeast of the Masai Mara and rarely visited by tourists. Return to camp for overnight at Maji Moto Eco Camp (FB).
After breakfast, depart and drive to the Maasai Mara National Reserve, passing the scenic Great Rift Valley escarpment and the Suswa plains. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp, then enjoy your first game drive in the evening. Accommodation: Enkorok Mara Camp or Similar.
Depart after breakfast for a full day of game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, on a mission to find the Big Five amid the full flora and fauna of this ecosystem. Return to camp in the afternoon and relax. Overnight at Enkorok Mara Camp or Similar (FB).
After breakfast, depart to arrive in Nairobi by afternoon and drop off at JKIA for your flight to Diani. Upon arrival, our driver-guide will pick you up and transfer you to your Diani Beach hotel. Overnight at Pappilon Lagoon Reef Beach Resort.
Full days at leisure at the beach hotel — relax on the white sands of Diani Beach, swim in the Indian Ocean, or enjoy the resort’s facilities. Overnight at Pappilon Lagoon Reef Beach Resort each night.
A full day at the beach hotel, or opt for the Wasini Day Tour ($90 per person) — a group excursion starting with a transfer to the south coast’s Shimoni Pier overlooking the Wasini Channel. Sail out on an authentic dhow, spotting dolphins (including the rare humpback dolphin) and seabirds en route to the marine park for snorkelling among coral, fish, and sea turtles. Lunch is served at the Wasini Island Restaurant, followed by free time to visit the local village, the Wasini Coral Gardens, or simply relax on the beach before returning to your hotel. Breakfast at leisure, then pick-up for a dhow cruise lunch in Mombasa (about 1 hour drive). The lunchtime cruise departs the Tamarind jetty at 1:00pm and glides gently up Tudor Creek to a quiet mooring spot. Lunch is a Tamarind seafood platter or prime Kenyan fillet steak, followed by fresh tropical fruit salad and Kenyan coffee. The dhow returns to the jetty at 3:00pm, after which you'll transfer back to Diani. Overnight at Pappilon Lagoon Reef Beach Resort.
Breakfast, then transfer to the station to catch the SGR train back to Nairobi, connecting onward to your homebound flight — marking the end of your 11-Day Kenya Safari & Diani Beach Combo.
