Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, your driver-guide will meet and welcome you before driving to Tarangire National Park. This park is spectacular in the dry season when migratory wildlife returns to the permanent waters of the Tarangire River — huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather here before migrating again with the rains. Enjoy an afternoon game drive through baobab-studded savannah teeming with wildlife. In the late afternoon, drive to your hotel for overnight stay.

After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge — a 3 to 4-hour scenic journey through the heart of the Rift Valley. Olduvai Gorge is one of the world's most important archaeological sites, located in the eastern Serengeti plains, where early human fossils were first discovered. It has an awe-inspiring landscape shaped by the same tectonic forces that created the Great Rift Valley millions of years ago. After the gorge visit, continue into the Serengeti and arrive at your camp in the late evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, venture deep into the Serengeti's wilderness for a full day of game viewing in the park. With a picnic lunch packed beside you, take your leisure while exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site — where the earth's largest concentration of plain game still roams free. The Serengeti hosts the famous Great Migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest, as well as lion prides, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and countless bird species. In the late evening, return to camp for rest, dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and the best place in Tanzania to see the endangered black rhino. Descend into the crater floor for a half-day game drive among the magnificent prides of lion (including the famous black-maned males), colorful flamingoes on Lake Magadi, and a variety of water birds. Other wildlife regularly seen includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, members of the antelope family, and small mammals. In the late afternoon, drive to Kilimanjaro Airport for your flight home. This marks the end of your northern Tanzania adventure.
