Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (arrival time to be advised), you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha for overnight and breakfast. This first evening is yours to relax, settle in, and prepare for two days of unforgettable wildlife encounters across northern Tanzania's most iconic parks.

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park — a spectacular destination especially in the dry season when the permanent waters of the Tarangire River draw Africa's largest congregations of migratory wildlife. Huge herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, elands, and oryx gather along the riverbanks before migrating back to greener pastures with the onset of the rains. Spend the day on a full game drive taking in the park's baobab-studded landscape and incredible wildlife density. Return to your hotel in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater — undoubtedly one of the world's most spectacular natural wonders and the best place in Tanzania to see black rhino. Descend into the crater floor for a half-day game drive among the magnificent prides of lion (including the famous black-maned males), colorful flamingoes on the soda lake, and a variety of water birds. Other game regularly spotted includes leopard, cheetah, hyena, members of the antelope family, and small mammals. In the late afternoon, transfer to Kilimanjaro or Arusha Airport for your onward flight home. This day has no overnight accommodation — transfers are timed to connect with evening departures.
