Your safari will begin with an early morning transfer to Entebbe International Airport for a scheduled domestic flight to Kisoro or Kihihi airstrip. The flight takes approximately 1–1.5 hours, offering aerial views of Lake Victoria, rolling hills, and terraced farmlands of southwestern Uganda. Upon landing, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and transferred by tourist vehicle to your lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park — 45 minutes to 1.5 hours away depending on lodge location. Check in, relax, then in the afternoon head for a Batwa cultural visit, where you learn about the indigenous forest people (Pygmies) and their traditions. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, you will head to Bwindi Park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, where you will be assigned a gorilla family based on fitness level and trekking sector. You will then begin your trek — taking 2–6 hours — with experienced park rangers. Once a gorilla family is found, you will spend one hour in their natural environment and have the opportunity to see them feed, groom, play and interact as you take memorable photos, giving you an unforgettable wildlife encounter. After the trek, you return to the park headquarters to receive a gorilla trekking certificate, then transfer back to the lodge for lunch and rest. In the afternoon you will enjoy free relaxation, a nature walk around the lodge, dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast. After check-out, you are transferred back to Kisoro or Kihihi Airstrip for your scheduled return flight to Entebbe International Airport. The flight departs mid-morning and arrives in Entebbe around late morning or midday. Upon arrival, you may connect to your international departure flight or be transferred to a hotel in Entebbe if required — marking the end of your unforgettable Fly-In Gorilla Safari.
