After an early breakfast, our professional driver–guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport and begin the scenic journey to southwestern Uganda, passing through rolling hills, local towns, and agricultural landscapes. You will have a stopover at the Equator crossing for photos and a brief water experiment demonstration before continuing to Mbarara town for lunch. After lunch, your journey will continue through beautiful terraced hills and winding roads toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park — home to nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. On arrival, check in to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a pre-trek briefing by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Visitors are allocated a gorilla family and informed about trekking rules and safety guidelines. Trekking begins through dense rainforest terrain and can take anywhere from one hour to several hours depending on the gorillas' movements. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat — watching family interactions and capturing photos. After the trek, return to the starting point where certificates are issued. Later, transfer back to the lodge to relax. In the afternoon, head for the Batwa community where you will learn their different ways of survival — how they live, communicate, and participate in their dances and songs. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Have breakfast then depart Bwindi and drive through the scenic Kigezi Highlands toward Lake Bunyonyi — often described as one of Africa's most beautiful lakes. The drive offers breathtaking views of terraced hills and rural communities before reaching the lake region in Kabale district. Upon arrival, check in at your lakeside lodge and enjoy lunch overlooking the calm waters dotted with numerous islands. The afternoon is spent relaxing or participating in optional activities such as a guided boat cruise among the islands, bird watching, or visiting nearby communities to learn about local culture. Lake Bunyonyi is safe for swimming and offers a peaceful atmosphere. Spend the evening enjoying sunset views over the lake before dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy a final peaceful morning at Lake Bunyonyi, taking in the beautiful scenery or going for a short nature walk around the lodge. Start your return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, passing through rolling hills, plantations, and lively trading centres. A lunch stop is made in Mbarara or along the highway. Another brief stop at the Equator allows for souvenir shopping or refreshments before completing the journey. On arrival in Kampala or Entebbe, you will be dropped off at your hotel or directly at Entebbe International Airport for departure flights.
