En route, you will stop for breakfast at a local restaurant, enjoying fresh Ugandan dishes while taking in rolling hills and tea plantations. Continue your journey to Kabale, having lunch en route as well — the gateway to Lake Bunyonyi. On arrival, check in to the lodge and take some time to relax and enjoy the breathtaking views, dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided boat ride to explore some of the lake's famous islands, including Punishment Island — with its fascinating history — and Bird Island. Visit several islands, each offering unique experiences. Along the way, meet local communities and engage in cultural interactions with the Batwa and Bakiga people, learning about their traditions, lifestyles, and crafts. Enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the islands or return to the lodge for a freshly prepared meal. After lunch, relax on the deck, watch the abundant birdlife, or take a swim in the calm lake waters. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the lodge and a tranquil night under the stars, fully immersed in the serenity of Lake Bunyonyi.
