You will be picked up by our company safari guide from Entebbe or Kampala early in the morning and start your journey southwest towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. Pass via the Equator crossing for photos, and stop at scenic viewpoints along the Kichwamba escarpment overlooking the park's crater lakes. Have lunch en route, then continue to the park. Check in to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
Set off early for a game drive across the Kasenyi plains, one of the best areas in the park to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and hyenas. Return to the lodge for breakfast and a late morning rest. In the afternoon, take a scenic drive through the Explosion Crater area, dotted with dramatic volcanic crater lakes and offering excellent birding and photography. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive south to the remote Ishasha sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions that rest in the branches of fig trees during the heat of the day. Enjoy a game drive through the sector, spotting lions, topi, and elephants along the Ishasha River. Have a picnic lunch in the park, then return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Have morning breakfast, then head to the savannah plains in search of animals like lions, buffaloes, leopards, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and a variety of bird species. After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the calm waters of the Kazinga Channel — where you will see large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, bathing elephants, and countless water birds, making it one of the best boat safaris in Uganda. After, return to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast, check out, then start your journey back. Have lunch en route, then continue to your preferred destination — marking the end of your 5-day Queen Elizabeth National Park safari.
