Wildlife Game Drives

About Wildlife Game Drives

Uganda's savannah parks deliver classic East African game viewing without the crowds of more famous reserves. Morning and afternoon game drives in a 4x4 take you across open plains and along riverbanks tracking lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, giraffes and the countless antelope species that share these landscapes.

Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest, combines game drives across the northern bank with the dramatic Nile gorge where the river is forced through a 7-metre gap. Queen Elizabeth National Park is famous for tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains and the wildlife-dense Kazinga Channel. Kidepo Valley, in Uganda's remote northeast, offers some of the continent's best big cat sightings with a fraction of the visitor numbers, while Lake Mburo — just four hours from Kampala — is the easiest park to combine zebra, impala and giraffe sightings with a short itinerary.

Tulabagane Expeditions runs game drives at dawn and dusk, when animals are most active, with experienced spotter-guides and 4x4 vehicles with pop-up roofs for unobstructed photography.
